A Look Inside, Part 1
With the building removed, you get to see just how much junk was added to the interior.
Some of the items are not "realistic," and they weren't supposed to be; the details were
only meant to provide visual clutter when viewed through the windows or open doors. Having
said that, the detailing does stand up pretty well to examination. From left to right:
- an Alloy Forms compressor
- a number plate sawed off of an Arnold Rapido steam loco
- an air compressor sawed off of a Rivarossi steam loco
- an Alloy Forms anvil
- coupler springs and bits of brass tubing
- an Alloy Forms workbench with bits of styrene for boxes and bent wire parts
- an Alloy Forms locker, with a Preiser figure in front
- a makeshift workbench made from an Alloy Forms diamond plate on styrene legs,
covered with bits of wire, metal and old loco parts
- another makeshift workbench made from an Alloy Forms diamond plate on saw horses,
covered with washers and wire rods
The inspection pit was made by laminating layers of sheet styrene together, which made
the steps on each end and also created the look of board-formed poured concrete.
