Supercrud caboose

Supercrud

If anyone considers this "overdone," all they need to do is take a walk through some railroad graveyard. After a liberal application of Rustall, I scraped on a variety of "rusty" pastel chalk colors and then dragged a brush through the gunk in downward strokes on the car sides while it was still wet. A light dusting of Dullcote enhanced the effect by changing the "flavors" of the crud on the roof. This Life-Like model was spruced up with body-mounted Z Scale couplers, Northwest ShortLine wheels, and a Micro-Trains caboose smokestack. I didn't bother glazing the windows because rolling stock in this condition very rarely has any glass left intact.
