An older, weedier White River and Northern

I often found it therapeutic to sit and plant weeds and shrubs individually, rather than laying down a coat of glue and shaking everything on at once. After a stressful day, I could relax completely just by sitting and planting bits of greenery one by one with a tweezers for a couple of hours. And so, much like a real railroad, the WR&N got weedier as the years rolled by.

By the way, the tower in the foreground was rescued and reused for the WR&N Version IV.

Original imageImage specs: As the raw black and white  Polaroid print reveals, placing the pinhole over the front of the lens produces vignetting. Careful cropping and a bit of digital blending makes the "hole" go away. I also electronically tinted these images with a sepia tone to give them the appearance of photos taken a hundred years ago. Lighting was provided by a 100-watt bulb in a floodlight reflector.
