Sunlight on the White River and Northern There's nothing like a sunny day to bring out the best in a scene. Passengers bask in the light as they patiently wait for the next train to arrive in White River Junction. Image specs: Graduating to a 35-mm Cannon SLR, I was at last able to capture some decent images. I used the same trick of placing aluminum foil over the lens and poking it with a pin. But this time I carried the layout into the front yard and let Mr. Sun provide the candlepower. There was also no need to retouch the background, since the grass and trees in the yard blended in nicely with the model scene. I processed the Tri-X black and white film and made the prints myself in a darkroom at college. Other than careful cropping and touching up dust specs, there was nothing done to these images.
