Sunlight on the White River and Northern Even the fat Minitrix rail looks better in this relatively rare view of the line where it swings around the back of the enginehouse. The rockwork along the left is actually made from pieces of tree bark stacked and glued together, and blended with thick paint and weeds. Image specs: Graduating to a 35-mm Cannon SLR, I was at last able to capture some decent images. I used the same trick of placing aluminum foil over the lens and poking it with a pin. But this time I carried the layout into the front yard and let Mr. Sun provide the candlepower. There was also no need to retouch the background, since the grass and trees in the yard blended in nicely with the model scene. I processed the Tri-X black and white film and made the prints myself in a darkroom at college. Other than careful cropping and touching up dust specs, there was nothing done to these images.
