Tracklaying on the White River and Northern III
From this angle, track wiring is visible. Bundles of wires led to terminal strips
mounted along the inner edge of the layout surface using the same double-stick foam tape as
was used for tracklaying. Slots for turnout linkage are also visible to the right of center.
Turnouts were powered with Tortoise switch machines.
Image specs: The embarrassingly poor quality of this image is due to the fact
that it was taken with a non-flash disposable camera using available light, which is all I had on
hand at the time. But... a poor-quality image is somewhat better than none at all. I converted it
to black-and-white for better effect—it was otherwise nothing more than a garish mass of blue-green.
