Birdseye View of the Yard Of all the images used in the photomapping process, only these two survive, and oddly two that are just slightly different angles of the same view. These images are also unusual because they are sourced from the raw frame grabs before resizing, so they are larger than all of the others. This area is the throat end of the yard, showing the passenger station (tan roof, near the lower left of the above image), engine services including the water tower (near center of both images), and Spano Recycling. One very rare slide provides a nice high-resolution close-up of the trackwork; I used a rather unconventional approach to laying this particular bit of trackwork. By the way, the pale tan rectangle seen far right center in the upper image and just to right of center at the very bottom of the lower image is a pile of sand in a wooden enclosure, the layout's oldest detail.
