![]() Track Plans for All! Even though I'm not a world-class planner, I happen to really enjoy it, and based on the responses I've received, people really like them—in fact, this page gets over 100 hits per day. Here's a collection of plans I've done mostly for Railwire members. Except where noted, they're all N scale, and range in size from HCD (hollow core door) layouts to basement-filling empires. Feel free to use, modify or reproduce any of these plans. If you republish them, please link back to their source. Thanks!
My Own Track Plans Here are just a few of the many plans I've done for myself. Some were nearly finished, some barely made it past benchwork, and some were merely doodles.
Even More Plans Here's another eighteen compact plans designed for Z Scale sectional track; on top of that, I've developed several plans for T Gauge, for a grand total of over 60 track plans. FAQ: I'm often asked what software I use for track planning. Generally I'll start a plan with AnyRail, which is the finest track planning software available, IMO. From there, I'll sometimes export the AnyRail plan into CorelDraw and/or Corel PhotoPaint to add buildings, scenery and other embellishments. |
